Features > Console Functions > System Requirements System RequirementsThe minimum system requirements to run Mailtraq are very light, and Mailtraq will run on almost any current Windows computer.
Windows XP - NT Family Mailtraq is a MS Windows application for use on Windows XP (Home or Professional) and Windows NT/2000/2003 Server.
Windows Vista & W2008 There is a separate version available for use on Vista and Windows 2008 Server: - Download 2.14.1.2416 here. If you have accidentally installed the standard Trial download - read more ...
Mailtraq can take advantage of multiple CPU's if they are available. Mailtraq works well in a 64-bit environment* like Windows Server 2003 or XP 64-bit
Machine sizing needs to reflect your email requirements - a large installation using IMAP and holding a large amount of mail on the server needs a more powerful machine than a small installation using just POP3 with no mail storage.
A typical installation in a webmail or IMAP environment would be: Windows XP or Server 2000/2003 on a Pentium 4 2.4GHz or higher machine with 1GB RAM, and 100MB of storage, plus additional space for Archiving.
Larger installations would benefit from a more powerful system and smaller installations would manage with a less powerful system. It is a simple matter to move Mailtraq from one machine to another as your requirements change (See www.mailtraq.com/moving ).
