Mailtraq integrates with this edition of AVG Anti-Virus directly:
however, you do not use the included AVG Email Scanner.

Note: Grisoft released AVG 8.0 on Feb 28, 2008 and are promising an updated interface shortly:

Service Pack 1 for AVG 8.0 (including the API update) was 'promised' in June.
It is still not available.

How to install AVG

When you install AVG, choose the Custom Install option:
Install AVG but do not enable scheduled tests, the resident shield or the E-mail scanner. AVG should essentially be dormant except for automatic updates. AVG will report that the Email Scanner is not fully functional - this is correct: Mailtraq has taken responsibility.

Mailtraq itself only requires the basic 2-user license - Grisoft also offer larger license sizes for additional computers.

If you install the AVG Email Scanner your email may be delayed or misdirected or you may cause file locking.
