Case Study - Fair Acres

Fair Acres Geriatric Center is located in Lima, Pennsylvania, on Pa. Route 352, one mile north of the intersection at U.S. Route 1 and Granite Run Mall.

Fair Acres is Medicare and Medicaid approved and offers long-term skilled care for over 900 residents on a 210-acre campus. Residents range in age from young adult to elderly. There are some two dozen departments, staffed by over 1100 employees. 

 

They have 260 computers, 1 Windows 2000 E-mail server, 2003 backup server that e-Mail, calendaring data and Mailtraq user data is sent to weekly)  They have a Primary Server room and a HIPAA compliant backup facility.  They have 14 buildings linked by fiber to provide network connectivity.
