KB00022607 Identifying the Mailtraq Server's IP Address

In order to configure your e-mail clients, you must know how to refer to the Mailtraq Server. The easiest way to do this is to refer to the server by it's IP Address.

To find out the local IP Address, refer to these instructions :-

Windows '95 / '98 / XP

1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Select the Networks Applet
   
3. Find and select the TCP/IP Protocol configured for your Network Adaptor (not your modem or Dial-up Adaptor)
4. Click on Properties
5. Select the IP Address tab and the IP Address will be shown

Windows NT Family Server / Workstation

1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Select the Networks Applet
   
3. Click on the Protocols tab
4. Select TCP/IP
5. Click on Properties

Open the Mailtraq Console and select 'Installation' in the left pane - it is the top item.
